Position Overview
Bloom Kenya is seeking a dynamic and strategic Fashion Retail Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for fashion, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in retail sales management. This role requires a strategic thinker who can analyze market trends, develop effective sales strategies, and foster a customer-centric environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and surpass revenue targets.
- Market Analysis: Analyze sales reports and market trends to identify growth opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Customer Experience: Ensure exceptional customer service to drive loyalty and retention.
- Promotional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and merchandising teams to plan and execute promotional campaigns.
Team Leadership & Management
- Staff Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of sales associates, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations, and implement development plans.
- Motivation: Encourage and inspire the team to meet and exceed sales objectives.
Operational Excellence
- Store Operations: Oversee daily operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and adherence to company policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Technology Utilization: Leverage retail management software and tools to optimize operations and sales tracking.
Customer Engagement & Experience
- Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Feedback Integration: Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform service improvements and product offerings.
Reporting & Strategy Development
- Data Analysis: Prepare and present detailed sales reports, utilizing data to inform strategic decisions.
- Goal Alignment: Collaborate with senior management to align store objectives with broader business goals.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in retail sales management, preferably within the fashion industry.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a sales team effectively.
- Strategic Mindset: Proven experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with retail management systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Customer Focus: Deep commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- Additional Skills: Experience with inventory management software and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.

Your Role:
- Design and develop ladies’ clothing collections that reflect the brand’s vision and meet market demands.
- Stay ahead of the curve by researching trends, fabrics, and styles to inspire your work.
- Create detailed sketches, mood boards, and digital prototypes for approval.
- Source high-quality fabrics and trims, collaborating with suppliers for cost-effective solutions.
- Oversee production to ensure designs are accurately brought to life.
- Prepare tech packs and guide the sampling process.
- Conduct fittings and make adjustments for the perfect fit and finish.
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to align designs with customer preferences.
- Keep an eye on competitors and use insights to refine future collections.
What You Bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field (advanced certifications are a plus).
- 3–5 years of experience in fashion design, preferably in ladies’ clothing.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern-making, and textiles specific to women’s wear.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools (experience with 3D tools like CLO3D is a bonus).
- Excellent sketching skills, both hand and digital.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
- A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills.
- A passion for creating stylish, functional, and inclusive women’s fashion.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience designing for diverse body types and inclusive sizing.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and costing structures for ladies’ apparel.
